Book Editing

If you are not ready to publish your book, that’s perfectly okay. You can have your manuscript edited to refine your message before taking the next step. We would love to transform your manuscript into a masterpiece that positively impacts others. We offer Christian book editing services in Kenya to authors who want to refine their manuscripts and share their God-given messages with clarity.

Whether you need light editing, full editing, or in-depth manuscript development, we offer different levels of support to meet you where you are on your writing journey. From improving grammar and readability to strengthening your message and structure, our goal is to help you produce a manuscript that connects with your readers.

At WordPower Publishing Kenya, we like to keep it simple, and that is why we offer editing services in three levels: Light Editing, Standard Editing, and Comprehensive Editing. This simple structure makes it easy for you to choose the level of editing that best suits your manuscript.

Editing involves more than just correcting grammar. It includes improving clarity, consistency, structure, and the overall message of your book. To help you understand what is involved, we have outlined key editing areas.

  • 1. Grammar, spelling, and punctuation

Sentence structure, subject-verb agreement, consistent tense, correcting spelling errors, proper use of punctuation (commas, full stops, quotation marks)

  • 2. Clarity and readability

Ensure natural flow of ideas, clear and easy sentences, replace unclear wording

  • 3. Consistency

Consistent tone and voice throughout the book, consistent use of terms and phrases, uniform formatting (headings, spacing, font styles)

  • 4. Structure and organization

Logical flow of chapters, clear introduction, body, and conclusion, proper transition between paragraphs and chapters, no misplaced content

  • 5. Content and message

Clear and consistent message, alignment with the book’s purpose, Scripture use, strong takeaways for the reader

  • 6. Repetition and redundancy

Remove repeated content, ensure each section adds value

  • 7. one and Voice

Appropriate tone for the target audience, consistent writing style, natural and engaging voice, checking for overly complex or casual language (unless intentional)

  • 8. Scripture and references

Correct Bible verse references, accurate wording (based on quoted Bible version), consistent formatting of Scriptures, proper integration into text

  • 9. Formatting and presentation
